ORIGIN: Found from south Russian Far East to Korea, China and Japan to Nansei-shoto in the Ryukyus in montane, mixed pine and broad leafed forests.

DESCRIPTION: Large sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial species with several alternate, lanceolate, basally clasping leaves that blooms in the late spring and early summer on an erect, 4 to 6 long, 1 to few flowered, racemose inflorescence.
