ORIGIN: Found from Guatemala, Belize, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia and Venezuela in wet montane and cloud forests at elevations of 850 to 2600 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Small sized, cool to hot growing, caespitose epiphyte with fusiform-cylindric stem segments that appear apically one atop another and have 1 to 2 basal sheaths with 2 linear-oblong, acute leaves that blooms on a fasciculate, subsessile inflorescence occurring at the apex of each successive pseudobulb and holding the flowers against the leaf base occurring mostly in the spring.
