ORIGIN: Found from southeastern China, Korea, central and southerm Japan in montane, mixed pine and broad leafed forests at elevations of 700 to 1600 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Small to medium sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial species with sveral alternate, lanceolate, basally clasping leaves that blooms in the late spring on an erect, 4 to 6 long, several flowered, racemose inflorescence carrying fragrant flowers.
