Orchid Species: Epipactis naousaensis

Epipactis naousaensis is an orchid species identified by Robatsch in 1989. Culture information and photos for this orchid are commonly detailed under the currently accepted name of Epipactis leptochila.
Epipactis (Epcts.)
ORIGIN: Found in Great Britain, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Denmark, Germany, Switzerland, Czechoslovakia, Austria, Hungary, Italy, Yugoslavia and Greece in shady locations in young beechwoods forest on moist, calcareous soils.

DESCRIPTION: Small to large sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial orchid with a thick, flexuous, sometimes sterile, pubescent towards the apex stem carrying 3 to 10, cauline, yellowish-green, spreading, curved down, margins undulate, with fine to irregular serrated leaves, and median, oval-lanceolate leaves as well as the upper narrowly lanceolate leaves that blooms on a terminal, 2.8 to 12 [7 to 30 cm] long, laxly many [8 to 35] flowered inflorescence arising in the late spring and summer.
