ORIGIN: From New South Wales and a small colony in Victoria, Australia, at elevations of 200 to 800 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Medium sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial with a round underground tuber giving rise to an erect, reddish stem carrying a single cordate, round, acute, basally clasping leaf held close to the ground and blooms in the winter on a scapose, 36 [45 cm] long, several successively flowered inflorescence that has bracts and spiraling flowers. Additional tubers can occur at the apex of the stolonoid roots.
