ORIGIN: Found in Ecuador at elevations around 1400 to 1500 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with slender, blackish ramicauls enveloped basally by 2 to 3 tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, elliptical, subacute leaf that is cuneate basally into the petiole and blooms in the fall on a suberect, slender, 3 3/4 [9.5 cm] long, congested, several successively flowered inflorescence arising from low on the ramicaul with a bract at the base and imbricating, thin floral bracts.
