ORIGIN: Found in Ecuador at elevations of 800 to 2700 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Small to medium sized, warm to cold growing epiphyte with slender, erect ramicauls enveloped by a close tubular sheath in the lower third and 2 others at the base and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, narrowly ovate, acute, lightly acuminate, rounded to subcordate below into the sessile base leaf that blooms in the summer through fall on a fascile of successively single flowered inflorescence arising and completely enveloped by a spathe with thin, tubular floral bracts.
