ORIGIN: Found in Bolivia, southeastern Brazil and northwestern Argentina in swamplands often in light moss.

DESCRIPTION: Mini-miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte with 3 to 6, clustered, erect, oblong-ovate, truncate apically, lustrous, wrinkled, dark green speckled with purple pseudobulbs carrying oblong-elliptic, acute, subcoriaceous, recurved to subpendent, dark green above, clear green with purplish suffused leaves that blooms in the fall on a racemose, basal, arcuate, to 3.8 [to 9 cm] long, 5 to 18 flowered inflorescence holding all the flowers in the apical third .
