ORIGIN: Found in southeastern Peru and northwestern Bolivia at elevations of 3000 to 3666 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Mini-miniature sized, cold growing epiphyte with erect, slender ramicauls enveloped by 6 to 7, closely adpressed, microscopically scabrous, lepanthiform sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coricaeous, purple suffused beneath, elliptical, subacute, cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the winter on a loose, secund, filiform, 2 to 2.8 [5 to 7 cm] long including the 1 to 1.6 [2.5 to 4 cm] long peduncle, simultaneously 3 to 4 flowered inflorescence arising from near the apex of the ramicaul.
