ORIGIN: Found in Japan, Taiwan, western Hunan and northern Fujian provinces of China and northern Vietnam in moist Laurel forests on tree trunks at elevations of 600 to 1200 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with an ascending, short stem carrying nearly basal, elliptic to linear-oblong, sometimes falcate, acute leaves that blooms in the spring on an ascending to pendulous, flexuous, slender, .8 to 1.6 [2 to 4 cm] long, laxly 2 to 4 flowered inflorescence with ovate floral bracts and simultaneously opening flowers that last a few days.
