ORIGIN: Found in China, Japan, Korea, Ruyuku Islands, Taiwan, Assam, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Java, Sulawesi, Sumatra and New Guinea on tree trunks in montane forests at elevations of 500 to 800 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Miniature sized, warm growing, leafless epiphyte with slightly flattened roots of varying lengths with a minute stem that is leafless at flowering in the spring through early summer on a 1/2 to 2 [1.25 cm to 5 cm] long, slightly flexuous, many flowered inflorescence with triangular, shorter than the ovaries floral bracts.
