ORIGIN: This small to medium sized, erect, cool to cold growing lithophytic species from Minias Gerais Brazil and Guyana at elevations around 1750 to 1955 meters.
DESCRIPTION: This small to medium sized, erect, cool to cold growing lithophytic species from Minias Gerais Brazil and Guyana at elevations around 1750 to 1955 meters with a creeping rhizome with closely spaced, erect, terete, short pseudobulbs enveloped basally by loose tubular, imbricating sheaths carrying a single, erect, terete, canaliculate, acute leafthat become rugose with age and has a lateral, erect, to 10 [to 25 cm], long, single flowered inflorescence occurring in the summer in Brazil. It differs from all other Scuticaria by it's erect growth habit on rocks.
