ORIGIN: Found in Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia and Venezuela as a miniature sized, warm to cold growing epiphyte in wet montane forests and secondary evergreen forests at elevations of 600 to 2800 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Found in Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia and Venezuela as a miniature sized, warm to cold growing epiphyte in wet montane forests and secondary evergreen forests at elevations of 600 to 2800 meters with erect, stout ramicauls enveloped basally by 2 tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, ovate, ancipitous leaf that gradually narrows into the long petiole and blooms in the spring and winter on a short, racemose, several flowered inflorescence holding the flowers close to the leaf base.
