Orchid Species: Pinalia hutchinsoniana

Pinalia hutchinsoniana is an orchid species identified by (Ames) W.Suarez & Cootes in 2009.
ORIGIN: Found on Mindanao Island in the Philippines at elevations around 2300 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Miniature sized, cold growing terrestrial with a woody rhizopme giving rise to short cylindric pseudobulbs enveloped completely by imbricate leaf bases and carrying 3 to 4, apical, linear to lanceolate, acute, gradually tapering below at both ends leaves that blooms on a subterminal, dark yellowish pubescent, to 2.4 [6 cm] long, few flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, acute bracts.
FLOWER SIZE: 0.2 inches [5 mm]
