ORIGIN: This is a eastern Brazil dwarf, warm to cold growing epiphytic species, and is found in wet montane forests in the mist or Paramo zone on mossy trees.

DESCRIPTION: This is a eastern Brazil dwarf, warm to cold growing epiphytic species, and is found in wet montane forests in the mist or Paramo zone on mossy trees, with a very short stem carrying an equitant, fan-shaped array of linear to oblong-elliptic, obtuse leaves that are articulated into the persistent, imbricate, basal leaf sheaths and blooming in the fall and winter on an arching to pendant, 4 [10 cm] long, many [30 or more] flowered inflorescence with linear-lanceolate bracts.
