ORIGIN: Found from Costa Rica, Panama, Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru in lower montane forests at elevations of 1200 to 1800 meters on shady branches.

DESCRIPTION: Medium sized, cool growing epiphyte with oval compressed pseudobulbs suffused and marked with brown and subtended by 3 to 4 foliaceous bracts and having a single apical, linear-lanceolate leaf that blooms mostly in the spring and again in the fall with a basal, from the leaf bearing sheaths, 1 to 4' [30 to 120 cm] long, sub-erect to drooping, paniculate inflorescence arising on a mature pseudobulb with many flowers.
