ORIGIN: Found in Peru in cool wet cloud forests at elevations of 2800 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Small sized, cold growing epiphyte with a narrowly ovoid-pyriform, lightly sulcate pseudobulb enveloped basally by 3 to 4 pairs of leaf bearing, articulated sheaths with 2 apical, oblong, carinate leaves with the base conduplicate into the petiole that blooms in the fall on a basal, axillary, arching, 32 [80 cm] long inflorescence with a raceme that has a few very short basal branches all with scarious, distant bracts and the floral bracts are shorter than the ovary arising on a mature pseudobulb.
