ORIGIN: Found in Espirito Santo state of Brazil at elevations around 800 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Small to medium sized, warm growing epiphyte with basally thickened, elongate, tapering towards the tip pseudobulbs carrying 2 apical leaves and blooms in the summer in the northern hemisphere and spring in Brazil on a to 26 [65 cm] long, to 15 flowered inflorescence that is much longer than the leaf and arising through a 6 [15 cm] long sheath and carrying the flowers in a crowded fashion towards the apex.
