ORIGIN: Found in Mexico, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Guatemala, Costa Rica and Panama, Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia in very wet premontane and lower montane rainforests at elevations of 800 to 2000 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Small sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with an elongate, terete, swollen above the middle, fusiform pseudobulb partially enveloped basally by a few scarious, acuminate sheaths and carrying, 2 apical, thin, linear, conduplicate below into the base leaf that blooms in the spring an a terminal, filiform, branched, few flowered, racemose inflorescence arising on a mature psedudobulb.
