ORIGIN: Found in Bangladesh, India, Sri Lanka, Southern China, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand and Vietnam in damp grassy areas in forests.

DESCRIPTION: Small to medium sized terrestrial orchid with oblong, fleshy tubers giving rise to an erect, slender, rigid, glabrous stem carrying 4 to 5, linear, acuminate to acute apically, amplexicaul base leaves grading above into 1 to 7, erect, lanceolate, acuminate, serrate margined bract-like leaves that blooms in the summer on an erect, glabrous, .8 to 1.6 [2 to 4 cm] long, serveral to more than 10 flowered inflorescence with a 3.4 to 9.6 [8.5 to 24 cm] long rachis carrying ovate-lanceolate, much shorter than the ovary, long acuminate apically floral bracts.
