ORIGIN: Found in Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, and Costa Rica at elevations of 1400 to 1950 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Miniature to small sized, erect, cool growing epiphyte with an elongated, creeping rhizome with 2 to 2.4 [5 to 6 cm] between each spindle-shaped pseudobulb enveloppd in youth by imbricate sheaths and carrying 3 to 4, apical, linear-lanceolate leaves that blooms in the spring on a terminal, loose, 3.2 [8 cm] long, few flowered inflorescence arising on a newly maturing pseudobulb with non-resupinate flowers.
