Orchid Species: Dendrobium clavator

Dendrobium clavator is an orchid species identified by Ridl. in 1896.
DESCRIPTION: Small sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with slender, 8 to 10 angled pseudobulbs that have a short swollen area 2 internodes long carrying 2 to 4 terete, widely spaced, deciduous leaves that blooms mostly in the winter and spring with a very short inflorescence arising opposite the leaves near the apex carrying a single, short-lived, rather closed flower.

Yes, plants may be mounted on tree-fern or cork slabs if humidity is high and plants are watered at least once daily in Summer. When plants are potted, any open, fast-draining medium may be used.
