ORIGIN: Found in central Madagascar in marshlands in peaty soils at elevations around 1500 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Medium sized, cool growing terrestrial with 2 elongated tubers giving rise to a stem carrying 2 to 4, narrowly linear-acute leaves in the lower half that blooms in the spring on a terminal, erect, conical to shortly cylindrical, 2.4 [6 cm] long, several flowered inflorescence.
