ORIGIN: Found in Colombia, Venezuela, Peru, Guyana and Brazil at altitudes of 125 to 1200 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Large to giant sized, hot to warm growing terrestrial with a branching stem carrying broadly oblong-lanceolate, erect, plicate, acuminate, leaves whose bases and the leaf sheaths are darkly pubescent that blooms, on a short, terminal, several flowered inflorescence with fleshy, fragrant, short-lived flowers produced successively over a long period, occurring in the fall.
