Bulbophyllum jacobsonii is an orchid species identified by J.J.Sm. in 1935. Culture information and photos for this orchid are commonly detailed under the currently accepted name of Bulbophyllum plumatum.
ORIGIN: Found in Malaysia, Sumatra and the Philippines in swamp forests at elevations around 1000 to 1500 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with .8 to 1.2 [2 to 3 cm] between each, obliquely ovoid, quadrangular with concave sides pseudobulbs and carrying a single, apical, lanceolate, narrowing into the very short petiolate base leaf that blooms on an ascending, slender, terete, 4 [10 cm] long, apically thicker, 4 flowered, umbelliform inflorescence that is held at the leaf height.
