ORIGIN: Found in coastal Brazil as a medium sized, warm growing epiphyte or occasional lithophyte in full sun found at 200 to 700 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Medium sized, warm growing epiphyte or occasional lithophyte with broadly ovoid-pyriform, angled, deeply sulcate pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, elliptic-oblong, suberect, subacute or obtuse, thin-textured, plicate leaf that blooms in the early summer on a short, basal, racemose, semi-erect, shorter than the leaves, bracteate inflorescence carrying up to 2 fragrant flowers arising on the most recent pseudobulb often with two inflorescence on each.
