ORIGIN: Found in New Guinea and Queensland Australia in lowland and beach forests at elevations of sea-level to 15 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Medium to large sized, hot growing epiphyte with crowded, erect, slender, 4 to 6 angled, slightly compressed, basally leafy, apically bare stems carrying coriaceous, bilaterally flattened, obliquely linear, acute leaves that blooms in the spring on a lateral, arising on the bare, apical stem, successively single flowered, fasciculate inflorescence with ovate, minute, apiculate floral bracts that are much shorter than the ovary and pedicel.
