ORIGIN: Found in India, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Java in high evergreen forets ata elevations of 900 to 1300 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Small sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial with cylindrical, basally swollen pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, broadly elliptic, acuminate, thin, 3 thickened veined, petiolate base leaf that blooms in the later winter on an erect, terminal, peduncle 4 bracted, 12.4 to 33 [31 to 37.5 cm] long, 18 to 24 [45 to 60 cm] long overall, rachis 3.2 to 12 [8 to 30 cm] long, 10 to 17 flowered inflorescence with patent to spreading, triangular floral bracts and carrying wide spreasing, mostly simultaneously opening flowers.
