ORIGIN: Found in the Moluccas in riverine forests at elevations of 100 to 1100 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Large sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with .6 [1.5 cm] between each ovoid-cylindric, tapering towards the base and the apex, 4-angled pseudobulb carrying a single, apical, erect, lanceolate, acuminate, plicate, 7 nerved, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the summer and fall on a erect, 10 to 20 [25 to 50 cm] long, fractiflex rachis, 2 to 6 flowered inflorescence arising on a newly developing pseudobulb and has deciduous, ovate-lanceolate, mucronate floral bracts carrying flowers that open in succession.
