Orchid Species: Zeuxine clandestina

Zeuxine clandestina is an orchid species identified by Blume in 1858.
ORIGIN: Found in Assam, Arunchal Pradesh and Kerala India, Thailand, peninsular Malaysia and Java at elevations of 80 to 700 meters in lowland rubber estates and in open places.
DESCRIPTION: Miniature to small sized, hot to warm growing terrestrial orchid with 6, lanceolate, shiny green, acute, abruptly narrowing below into the very short, stalked leaves that blooms in the early spring on a slender, pubescent, 2 to 3 bracted, 10 [25 cm] long, several flowered inflorescence with successive opening flowers.
