ORIGIN: Found in Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama and often confused with P warszewiczii.

DESCRIPTION: This orchid is a small sized, herbaceous, humus epiphyte with a short stem carrying imbricate, conduplicate, medium to dark green leaves that blooms in the spring and summer on a terminal, erect, pubescent, 10 to 14 [25 to 35 cm] long, 2 to 4 simultaneous flowered inflorescence holding the flowers well above the leaves and has ovate to obovate floral bract.
