ORIGIN: Found in Rwanda, Zaire, Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Malawi, Mozambique and Zimbabwe at the edge of forests at elevations of 860 to 2300 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Small sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with erect to pendulous, very slender, narrowly cylindrical pseudobulbs leafy towards the apex and each arising out of the center of an older pseudobulb carrying several, linear, grass-like, acute, flexuous leaves that blooms in the summer on a terminal, 2 [5 cm] long, 4 to 8 flowered, racemose inflorescence.
