ORIGIN: Found in southern Yunnan province of China, Taiwan, Thailand and and Vietnam in open areas of forests on trees at elevations of 800 to 1800 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Warm to cool growing epiphyte with a tufted, very short stem enveloped by leaf sheaths and carrying subbasal, distichous, linear, obtuse to retuse apically, slightly contracted and dilated into the articulate, equitant sheath base leaves that blooms in the late summer and early fall on an axillary, erect, 2.4 to 2.8 [6 to 7 cm ]long, slender, many flowered inflorescence with subovate floral bracts.
