ORIGIN: Found as a natural hybrid between M amanda and M picturata occurring in Antioquia Colombia on the central cordillera in cloud forests at elevations of 2280 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Found as a natural hybrid between M amanda and M picturata occurring in Antioquia Colombia on the central cordillera in cloud forests at elevations of 2280 as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with slender, erect ramicauls enveloped basally by 2 to 3 tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, narrowly obovate, subacte, gradually narrowed below into the indistinct petiolate base leaf that blooms in the fall on a slender, erect, 2.8 to 4.8 [7 to 12 cm] long, simultaneously 2 flowered, racemose inflorescence arising from low on the ramicaul and with a bract below the middle with tubular floral bracts.
