ORIGIN: Found in southwestern and southern Cape Province in coastal sandflats in partial sun at lower elevations meters.

DESCRIPTION: Large sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial that blooms in the spring on an erect, terminal, 40 [100 cm] long, loosely 5 to 25 flowered inflorescence.

FLOWER SIZE: 1.2 inches [3 cm] -- information provided by Jay Pfahl, author of the Internet Orchid Species Encyclopedia (IOSPE).
