ORIGIN: Found in Assam, Eastern Himalayas, Thailand, Jiangxi, Fujian, Guangdong, Hong Kong, Hainan, Guangxi, Sichuan, Guizhou and Yunnan China, Vietnam and Taiwan in forests on trees or rocks along valleys at elevations of 200 to 1300 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Small sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte or lithophyte with a stiff, upright woody stem carrying several, leathery, disitichous, dorsi-ventrally flattened, strap-like, linear, deeply grooved and folded along the center, noticibly downward curved, apically bilobed leaves that blooms in the winter and early spring on an axillary, at right angles to the stem, 10 to 12 [25 to 30 cm] long, paniculate, each branch 3.6 to 4 [9 to 10 cm] long, 8 to 20 flowered, overall many flowered inflorescence with small, acute, ovate floral bracts.
