ORIGIN: Found in Guinea, Sierra Leone, Ivory Coast, Liberia and Cameroon on granite outcroppings or among roots at elevations of 500 to 1800 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Medium sized, warm to cool growing tterrestrial or lithophyte with bamboolike stems that are terete, caulescent, narrowly cylindrical in basal 3/4s, pseudobulbous fusiform above the origin of a new growth, the pseudobulbs are erect, narrowly cylindrical, superposed from the upper part of the preceding one, and carry 3 to 9, linear-lanceolate to lanceolae, gradually tapering towards the acyte apex leaves that blooms from the late fall through later summer on a simple, pubescent, laxy 3 to 11 flowered inflorescence with ovate, acute to acuminate, thin, glabrous floral bracts.
