ORIGIN: Found in the eastern Himalayas, Bhutan, Myanmar, south China and Vietnam at forest edges at elevations of 1100 to 2100 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Miniature, cool to cold growing epiphyte with large roots and one to two, deciduous, oblong-elliptic, subacute leaves and blooms in the spring on a suberect to erect, racemose inflorescence with 1 to 2, distant, tubular bracts and lanceolate, acuminate, concave floral bracts carrying 4 to 6, color variable flowers.
