ORIGIN: A Philippine and northern Borneo that is found near the seashore to 500 meters in elevation on limestone outcroppings in association with the roots of Vanda batemanii.

DESCRIPTION: Large sized, hot growing terrestrial or epiphyte with long elliptic, clear glossy green leaves with up to 9, coriaceous, ligulate, asymetrically rounded apically, v-shaped, very thick leaves that blooms in the summer through fall on an sub-erect, pubescent, to 2' [60 cm] long, successively 3 to 5 flowered, brown purple inflorescence.
