ORIGIN: This miniature to small sized, cold growing terrestrial species comes from Portugal, Spain, the Balearic Islands, France and Morocco in scrub and open woodland at elevations up to 1500 meters.

DESCRIPTION: This miniature to small sized, cold growing terrestrial species comes from Portugal, Spain, the Balearic Islands, France and Morocco in scrub and open woodland at elevations up to 1500 meters with 3 tubers giving rise to a spindley stem carrying 5 to 9, basal, near erect, unmarked, narrowly lanceolate leaves and blooms in the spring on an erect, lax, few flowered inflorescence with purplish, membraneous bracts that are slightly shorter than the ovaries.
