Orchid Species: Neobathiea perrieri

Neobathiea perrieri is an orchid species identified by (Schltr.) Schltr. in 1925.

ORIGIN: Found in northern and western Madagascar in tropical forests on or near riverbanks on bushes.

DESCRIPTION: Miniature to small sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with a short stem carrying several, glossy, slightly hard leaves with wavy margins and slightly obtusely bilobed that blooms in the late spring and early summer on an axillary, 3 1/4 to 6 [8 to 15 cm] long, 2 to 3 flowered inflorescence with fragrant flowers.
