ORIGIN: This medium to large sized, warm to cold growing species is endemic to Jalisco, Guerrero, Oaxaca, Vera Cruz and Puebla states of Mexico and found as an epiphyte and occasional terrestrial in mountain rain forest on rotten wood at altitudes of 600 to 2200 meters.
