ORIGIN: Found in Colombia, Venezuela, Peru and Brazil in moist lowland forests at elevations around 50 to 200 meters in hot tropical rainforests.

DESCRIPTION: Small sized, hot growing, caespitose epiphyte with fusiform pseudobulbs enveloped by imbricating, scarious, acute sheaths, leafless below, and above carrying apical, deciduous, narrow spear-like, basally claping leaves that blooms in the late summer through winter with a terminal, 1 5/8 [4 cm] long, fractiflex, racemose inflorescence, and can have an occasional basal, lateral branch, with triangular, tubular floral bracts with fragrant, long lasting, variable in color, successively single flowers arising on a mature pseudobulb.
