ORIGIN: Found in Surinam, Fr. Guiana, Guyana, Venezuela, Colombia Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia and Brazil.

DESCRIPTION: Small sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial with an erect, leafy stem carrying ovate, obtuse, gradually narrowing below into the conduplicate, petiolate base leaves that blooms in the winter on a terminal, erect, 4 [10 cm] long, densely many flowered inflorescence with 2, lanceolate, acute bracts and the flowers held in an apical corymb.
