ORIGIN: Found in Peru in cloud forests at elevations around 2500 to 2900 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Small sized, cold growing terrestrial or subterrestrial to epiphytic, with simple or branched, suberect to divaricate branches, carrying widely spreading, subcoriaceous, loosely distichous, oblong-lanceolate to ovate-lanceolate, narrowing to an acute to acuminate, sometimes apiculate, coriaceous, acute leaves that blooms in the summer on a terminal, loosely to laxly paniculate, few divaricate branched, to 7.6 [19 cm] long, loosely few to many flowered inflorescence arising through a small inconspicuous spathe. .
