ORIGIN: Found in Panama, Trinidad & Tobago, Venezuela and Brazil in rain forests in deep shade at elevations around 200 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Small sized, hot growing terrestrial with a slender, densely pubescent stem with 1 to 2 sheaths carrying a single, basal, flat to the ground, rounded, short acuminate, basally deeply cordate, shortly petiolate base leaf that is almost perfectly circular and blooms in the summer on an erect, densely shortly pubescent, to 12 [30 cm] long, strict, laxly few to many successively flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, acuminate, rather densely pubescent floral bracts..
