ORIGIN: Found in Florida, Cuba, Trinidad & Tobago and the Windwards as well as French Guiana, Surinam, Guyana, Venezuela and Brazil on sandy rocky savannahs at elevations of 300 to 1500 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Giant sized, hot to cool growing terrestrial with cane-like pseudobulbs with clasping leaf sheaths and blooms in the winter and spring on a basal, elongate, paniculate, to 5' 11 [to 200 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence that arises with a new growth and carries fragrant flowers.
