ORIGIN: A natural hybrid between C pileatum and C macrocarpum occurring in Venezuela and Brazil at elevations of 125 to 150 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Large sized, hot growing epiphyte with fusiform, conical to narrowly ovoid pseudobulbs enveloped in youth by imbricate leaf-bearing sheaths carrying 4 to 7, oblanceolate to obovate, acute to shortly acuminate leaves that are articulate to the leaf sheath and blooms on an erect to pendant, laxly to densely few flowered inflorescence arising on a newly matured pseudobulb.
