ORIGIN: Found in Cape Province South Africa in coastal scrub in sand at elevations of 30 to 300 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Robust, medium to large sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial with a laxly branched many flowered inflorescence that flowers in the spring in situ and has a tuft of rigid, erect leaves and numerous, long, thick, fleshy roots.
