BROWN SPOTS: Bacterial Disease Pseudomonas cattleyae; affects many genera; starts as soft water-soaked lesion becomes brown or black; advances rapidly; kills seedlings; occurs on leaves of older plants; spreads to growing point; exudates; highly infectious; on cattleyas it is limited to older leaves and is generally not fatal; spray with Physan at 1.25 tpg. monthly; use Natriphene three-quarters tpg. BROWN SPOTS: Pseudomonas Cattleyae The most common and the most severe disease of phalaenopsis; water-soaked lesions show first; it advances rapidly; it kills the plant when it reaches the crown; splashing water spreads it; spray with Physan 1/2 ttpg.; repeat. AH86-75 0
